Old entries, OpenDB & RMNP
Friday, July 29th, 2005Another great round of updates.
First and foremost, I’ve finished importing all my old blog entries dating back to December 2000. That was quite a project, since I had to do it all by hand, cut-n-pasting each entry from a text file or old HTML files. What’s cool is that even though my server at one point got hacked and I lost everything, I was still able to get almost every entry back. This was made possible by the great people at archive.org, who had copies of most pages from my old site. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Next up, I’ve installed and populated the Open Media Lending Database, which is a piece of software to help keep track of books, DVDs, music and all that kind of stuff. The link to my database is on the right. If you want to check out my DVD and book collections, you can log in by using ‘guest’ as both the user name and the password.
Finally, I put up a photo gallery of pictures taken during our visit to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. There’s some great pictures of mountains and up close and personal wild life. Make sure to check out the panoramas!
